Official Opening of the Mokoko Garden

Mokoko is pleased to have the official launch of the Mokoko garden as sponsored by 10 Cane Rum, during the St Albans Food and Drink Festival 2009. Mokoko works closely with LVMH who are the brand owners of 10 Cane Rum and Mokoko has been chosen as only a handful of gardens in the country to be sponsored by them to create their very own mint garden. The event includes a complimentary drink on arrival, a cocktail demonstration by the head barman Roberto Fiorillo, one of the best mixologists in Hertfordshire and a BBQ.
From 7pm. This event is by invitation only.

Champagne Tasting

Due to the success of past events, Mokoko is pleased to announce another fantastic champagne tasting event. Mokoko was honoured to receive a visit from the wine maker of Veuve Clicquot recently who kindly gave them a master class on the vintages on offer and we would like to offer you the same courtesy. On arrival you will receive a glass of Veuve Clicquot Magnum yellow label whilst you mingle in the garden. You will then be taken through 3 Veuve vintages including a rose by Brand rep from LVMH, the owners of Veuve Clicquot, steering you on a journey of luxurious taste from one of the finest champagne houses in the world. If you would like to be at this one off event, you must book your place now by calling Mokoko.

Latin Fiesta @ The St Michaels Folk Festival

As the Latin Quarter of the St Michael’s Annual Folk Festival, The Black Lion Inn will play hosts to the Brilliant Swanvesta Social Club for the fourth year in a row, who are guaranteed to get your feet tapping (if not jumping) to their Latin rhythms.
St Michael’s street itself will be closed allowing the dancing to continue throughout the evening as 11 different dance troupes entertain the crowds.
There will be a large BBQ and speciality cocktails served al fresco in the car park of The Black Lion Inn to accompany Swanvesta Social Club’s performance.
A great night is guaranteed come rain or shine!
