St Albans Food and Drink Festival is proud to be a part of the St Albans Festival, which this year will be staging its 12th event!
The St Albans Festival 2009 celebrates a remarkable Festival in an extraordinary place with over 140 events offering a mix of old favourites and some completely new events to be enjoyed.

Festival Highlights
Albantide Parade - celebrate the city’s history and Britain’s first martyr. Join in the magnificent giant puppet procession. A must for all the family.

Folk at the Festival Weekend - a spectacular procession of dancers filling the city centre with music and colour.

Larks in the Parks – a FREE day of outdoor fun and entertainment in six local parks – featuring – The Green Fingered Gals, a giant stilt walking Knight, and bands The Push and The Untouchables. A chance to picnic with your friends and meet the people that live in the street next to yours.

Fuze goes Stateside - this year to celebrate the Fourth of July. Experience the best of American music and culture in an amazing day featuring eight fantastic bands – be prepared to dance till you drop!

The Alban Arena & Maltings Arts Theatre - present top class professional entertainment whilst at Trestle Arts Base you can have a sneak preview of some of the best shows that are going up to the Edinburgh Festival.

Film at the Festival - all new for this year. A chance to see some of the best films around in the open air, set against the backdrop of the mansion at Oaklands College’s Smallford site.
